The inaugural event of National Cleanliness Day program implemented under the “Clean Sri Lanka” national program was held in Lihiniwehera Division on 08.08.2026. This was successfully held with the participation of the Hon. MP Aslam, the Ridigama Divisional Secretary, representatives of the staff and residents of the area.

A training program to sensitize Community Development Council representatives to empower Community Development Councils under the Praja Shakthi National Movement was held on 16.07.2026 at the Ridigama Divisional Secretariat meeting hall with the participation of the Divisional Secretary and Deputy Director.

Strategic planning for the green eco-tourism

A progress and practical workshop on the preparation of a strategic plan for the green eco-tourism industry was held on 24.07.2025 at Ahas Pokuna Holiday Resort.

The fabric painting program implemented by the Industrial Development Department under the patronage of the Assistant Divisional Secretary was held very successfully on 18 and 19 June 2026 at the Samurdhi Meeting Hall, involving 40 entrepreneurs.
